I always repack my med kits and IFAK’s when I buy them. Good thing too because the kit didn’t have lubricant for the NPA. Needs a 4” roll of gauze added to the kit as well the 2” roll is too small for practical use in a tactical situation. I found the internal draw string problematic in a stressful environment, it tends to get caught on stuff as you are trying to pull it out of the bag, I had to remove it. Other than my three suggestions the IFAK is pretty good. Comes with an ARS and sutures which most don’t great quality shears and hemostats. Has the right chest seals (entry/exit), burn dressing and hemostatic gauze. Definitely better than the other IFAK’s I bought prepackaged. This IFAK is similar enough to my personal load out. I will recommend and buy again.

Please start including a pack of lubricant for the NPA. Good thing I checked the kit before just trusting it of what I needed. Would suck to need the NPA and not have lubricant to insert it. Other than that one small detail that could be a major issue the kit is really well thought of for items needed in a trauma scenario.

Oscar, thanks for the kind words. These kits typically come with the black CAT, but with the supply issues the way they are now with the Ukraine situation we had to fill a few orders with orange or blue CATs. As you mentioned, they are functionally identical. If you want to check back with us in a few weeks once we get more black ones in we’d be happy to exchange it out for you. Thanks for your business!

This is a fantastic piece of kit for anyone looking for an all around no compromise Trauma IFAK. As an EMT this kit has everything I would consider essential in providing rapid treatment for traumatic injuries with firearms. It also includes genuine NAR gear and for the price it is an amazing deal compared to other suppliers. My only complaints are very minor, such as getting a blue training tourniquet instead of a regular one (they are functionally identical, just colored blue to indicate training use), and that the IFAK itself is a bit chunky to be carrying on the side of a plate carrier. Additionally, when I received my kit, I noticed that an item was missing, so I contacted their support and they quickly shipped the missing item to me for free. A great kit to get from great people.

Nice pouch, great contents, although the bag is a little small to fit the full size chest seals.

While the contents were what I needed, the bag itself was too small to fit the contents in. When contacting customer service with my concern the following was the response I received;
“I have attached our RMA form. If you wish to return you may do so for a refund. We just ask that you enclose the completed form inside of the return for our returns department. You will be responsible for the shipping back to us. Once return is received, we will then inspect and provide you with refund.
Please let me know if you should have any additional questions!

Lightning X Products

While I appreciate the offer to return the products, I guess I was expecting some personal help such as help in fitting things in or an offer of a bigger bag charging the difference for exchanging the smaller bag. Just my thoughts.

I bought one of these specifically because I have a shooting range on my property and do a little hunting as well as nuisance critter eradication. One day while shooting my 1911 at a steel target, I got hit in the forearm with a hunk of lead ricochet. Not only did it hurt like hell and bleed profusely, I think I invented a few new curse words. I looked in my Gator 4×6 and all I had was a dirty rag. Figured it was better than bleeding to death.
I immediately starting looking for an IFAK to carry. These folks had just what I was looking for. A very nice, compact, well stocked kit. I even grabbed a few extra packages of clot bandage and burn gel. What I found in this kit was more than i could ask for. The best part was, they had it out the back door on its way to me the next morning.
You folks have me as a regular from now on.
Thanks.

I’ve looked around for the most essential and less expensive kit online. Then i saw gearbags and checked it out. To my surprise they have the kit that I’m looking for with a very competitive price. I ordered 2 of these kits then the package came. Delivery was fast and neatly done. I inspected the items included and the bag. All I can say that this kit is the real deal. Thanks for this amazing product. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Happy holidays guys

I spent a lot of time looking to build a good trauma/bleedout kit for my plate carrier. After researching what I wanted to include, and pricing individual pieces, I came across this kit. Wow, it is perfect and complete with exactly what is needed for this purpose, and I couldn’t build it myself for the price. This is not a boo boo kit, it is a stop the bleed, or save a life kit. It is designed to do just that. I am extremely happy with the kit, price, and delivery time. Everything fits in the bag very tightly….as in, the bag is the perfect size for all of the contents…no wasted or dead space. The only thing I did was mount the CAT on the outside of the bag to free up a little space and be able to get to it quickly. I also added a velcro, cross patch to the outside so it could be identified as an IFAK. I definitely reccomended this kit!

This kit is the real deal, one of the most complete and economical of its kind. It is NOT an IFAK for camping, hiking, biking, etc. This is a first response kit for battlefield type injuries, i.e. gunshot wounds to the abdomen, extremities or chest. Open shrapnel wounds or instant traumatic amputation. I added a Celox rapid z-fold, a couple packs of Celox granules and a triangle bandage to round it out. Excellent overall, you will not find a more complete kit in such a nice bag at this price anywhere.
