The HyFin Vent Chest Seal Single Pack by North American Rescue is a premium occlusive dressing designed for the treatment and management of open chest wounds caused by penetrating trauma such as gunshot wounds, stab wounds, or other life-threatening injuries. An open chest wound can allow air into the chest cavity—commonly known as an open pneumothorax—which can quickly progress into a tension pneumothorax, one of the leading causes of preventable battlefield deaths.

This chest seal features an advanced adhesive gel formulation that creates a superior seal, even in extreme conditions where the casualty may be covered in blood, sweat, body hair, or dirt. Built to perform in austere environments, the HyFin Chest Seal provides reliable adhesion when other seals may fail, ensuring critical protection and ventilation during trauma care.

With a large 6″ x 6″ transparent design, this chest seal conforms easily to the patient’s chest, allowing precise placement over the wound.
