Frequently Asked Questions
An Israeli pressure bandage is used for pre-hospital bleeding control, applying firm, direct pressure to a traumatic wound. This bandage combines a sterile wound pad, a built-in pressure bar, an elastic wrap, and a closure into one unit, so a single bandage dresses the wound and holds tourniquet-level pressure on it.
Yes. It is designed for one-handed self-application: the wound pad, pressure bar, and elastic wrap can be secured with one hand, then locked down with hook-and-loop tabs. That matters when you are the casualty and have only one usable hand to control the bleeding.
An Israeli bandage combines a sterile dressing, a pressure bar, an elastic wrap, and a closure system in one unit. Regular gauze needs separate tape, a separate way to apply pressure, and usually a second person to hold it. This bandage does all four jobs in a single compact, vacuum-sealed package.
Keep it sealed, cool, and dry until needed. This bandage is vacuum-sealed and double-packed so it stays sterile and compact for long-term storage in an IFAK, glove box, or range bag. The sterile barrier holds until the package is opened, so it is ready whenever the kit is deployed.
An Israeli pressure bandage applies firm, focused pressure with its built-in pressure bar and can slow or stop many bleeds, but it does not replace a tourniquet for severe arterial limb bleeding. For life-threatening limb hemorrhage use a dedicated tourniquet; use the pressure bandage for wound dressing and direct pressure.
