Description

Modular TacMed Oxygen Backpack | LXMB60

The Lightning X LXMB60 Modular TacMed Oxygen Backpack is a professional-grade EMS trauma backpack engineered for paramedics, EMTs, and first responders who need a versatile system capable of carrying both medical supplies and an oxygen cylinder. Designed for demanding emergency environments, this tactical medical backpack combines rugged construction, modular storage, and superior carrying comfort, making it ideal for ALS response, ambulance crews, rescue teams, and disaster response operations.

Built to handle heavy loads, the LXMB60 features contoured yoke shoulder straps and an integrated waist belt that distribute weight evenly across the body for improved comfort during extended operations. The spacious design includes 10 zippered compartments, 8 elastic storage sections, 6 removable color-coded pouches, and multiple elastic tool loops, allowing EMS professionals to organize trauma supplies, airway equipment, medications, and diagnostic tools for quick access in critical situations.

At the heart of the design is a fully modular interior system. The main compartment features a hook-and-loop mounting panel that allows the user to position the removable pouches and the oxygen cylinder sleeve anywhere on the back panel. When oxygen is required, the bag securely holds a D or Jumbo D oxygen cylinder with dedicated access to the regulator through the top pocket—allowing adjustments without removing the cylinder or opening the main compartment.

Durability and adaptability make the LXMB60 an essential piece of EMS gear. The backpack now includes waterproof TPU reinforcement on the front panel and bottom to protect against abrasion, moisture, and bloodborne pathogens in demanding environments. With laser-cut MOLLE panels for additional gear attachment, this tactical EMS backpack can be configured for a wide range of emergency medical applications and is built to deliver years of reliable service in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is an EMS trauma backpack engineered to carry medical supplies and an oxygen cylinder together in one pack. This lets paramedics and EMTs bring both organized gear and oxygen to a patient, which suits ALS response, ambulance crews, and rescue operations.

Yes, it is purpose-built to carry an oxygen cylinder alongside medical supplies, unlike standard trauma packs. That combined capacity means a responder can deliver oxygen therapy and trauma care from a single bag rather than carrying separate equipment.

Yes, it features contoured yoke shoulder straps built to handle heavy loads. Because carrying both supplies and an oxygen cylinder adds weight, those contoured straps help distribute the load across the shoulders for more comfortable extended carrying.

It suits paramedics, EMTs, and first responders working ALS response, ambulance crews, rescue teams, and disaster response operations. Its rugged build and modular storage make it a fit for demanding emergency environments where both supplies and oxygen are needed.

It comes in Red, a high-visibility color that clearly identifies the pack as medical and oxygen-carrying gear. The single bold color helps the bag stand out on scene so crews can locate it fast during a response.

26 years in the Field and this pack carry my load better than any of my previous packs. Wish I had found this sooner

Great bag for first responders. So much smaller and easier to carry when responding to medical emergencies. Plenty of space for everything you need. We will get getting another 2 for our cars.

This is a great product. We are a rural non-transporting EMS squad who respond to calls POV. We bought 9 of these packs for all the EMT/AEMT members. The packs are sturdy, have plenty of room, and strong zippers. The organization system is great, we standardized our packing list so that anyone can go into anyone else’s pack and find what they need. There are lots of cool features like the zippered flap to access the O2 regulator.
One suggestion for product improvement … have velcro backing on the back of all 6 organizer pouches so we can choose which color goes where.
One idea for a complimentary product … an add-on external pouch to store meds and IV that is easily detached (allowing the pack to stay in the vehicle and the pouch to be brought indoors for storage in extreme temps)

Love it! Great value for the $$$
I like that you can access the regulator for the oxygen tank without having to open the entire bag. Once you get oxygen hooked up to the patient, you can just slide the backpack strap over the back of the stretcher and go. The loops on the inside of the smaller pocket are great too.

  5. Andres C

I bought this bag thinking it was smaller because in every photo i have seen the backpack doesn’t seem that large but the backpack is absolutely MASSIVE, there’s lots of space everywhere. The backpack could be used for ACLS bag or just basic EMS. Inside the bag i included, massive hemorrhage, O2 tank (D), airway stuff, splinting, IV and meds, diagnostics, BVM, adult and pediatric C-collar, and if i have to fit more stuff there’s more space.
The quality of the backpack is good… you can’t compare this backpack with expensive 300 bucks MERET or STAT backpack but for the price the backpack has pretty good quality. I haven’t had problem with the shoulder straps like other reviews out there but only time will tell.

Other than that the backpack is absolute worth the price.

  6. gunnerjohn

Absolutely love this product. It is comfortable to wear and holds our equipment perfectly. However once it is fully stocked we noticed the shoulder strap started to rip off. It does not even contain an O2 bottle. I have contacted lightning X about this and they promptly replaced it with a new one, which we haven’t had any issues with. They said that it was a brand new bag and sometimes the first batch they have a few kinks to work out. Kudos to them for making it right!

Great product, plenty of space and well made
