Lightning X TacMed ALS Oxygen Trauma Backpack w/ O2 Bottle & Stocked Kit D
Lightning X TacMed ALS Oxygen Trauma Backpack w/ O2 Bottle & Stocked Kit D
The MB60 was built with EMS in mind. Our tactical backpack was built to comfortably carry a heavy load
of medical supplies, and the modular design allows for configurations with and without an O2 cylinder.
The contoured yoke shoulder straps and integrated waist belt helps evenly spread the weight of the bag
across the user’s body.
Built with 10 zippered compartments, 8 elastic compartments, 6 color-coded removable pouches and a
multitude of elastic tool loops – the MB60 has ample storage room and makes for easy organization for
all your supplies.
The main compartment has a hook and loop system which allows the user to arrange the color-coded
pouches and the removable cylinder sleeve anywhere on the back panel of the bag. Don’t need a
cylinder? Just remove the sleeve and straps and you now have room for all 6 pouches in the main
compartment. Want to add a cylinder? Arrange 4 of the colored pouches around the center of the
compartment and place the other two in the side pockets. Alternately, the pouches and cylinder sleeve
can be removed altogether to make room for bulkier items.
The top front pocket on the MB60 opens to the main compartment to allow access to the O2 regulator
without having to open the main hold to remove the cylinder. Finally, the front of the backpack features
laser cut MOLLE loops that are great for storing quick access tools or attaching additional MOLLE
compatible pouches or gear.
All in all, the MB60 is designed to adapt to a variety of EMS applications and is sure to provide you with
years of worry-free use!

Thoroughly impressed with the quality of this kit, especially at the price point.
As an avid scuba diver, the oxygen was the most significant upgrade from my previous kit, and this can be a lifesaver should I ever need to treat any sort of decompression illness.
I’m very impressed with the bag that the kit came with. I was initially skeptical of what sort of backpack I would receive, but that proved to be unfounded. Zippers, buckles, and straps seem to be high quality, and overall, construction is great. There is plenty of space for all the includes gear, and plenty of space to add more supplies as well.
There is maybe a shortage of “trauma”/stop the bleed supplies in here, but I knew that going in to the purchase. I generally carry an Israeli bandage, 2 CAT tourniquets, and quickclot on my person when going to the woods, and a separate and larger trauma kit in my vehicle, so no big deal to me. I also utilized the front pocket to store some additional trauma supplies.
Would have liked to see a better quality light with the kit as well, but it was easy and inexpensive enough to throw in an led pen light and an led headlamp.
As nature abhors a vacuum, I did add a few more items to fill the space, including the aforementioned trauma supplies, additional Sam splints, ace bandages, and all kinds of bandages. For diagnostic purposes, I added a thermometer, glucometer, and pulse oximeter. To the instruments, more tweezers, magnifying lens, fine scissors, nail clippers and nail scissors, an irrigation syringe, and some sterile disposable scalpers. Some leukotape for blisters and athetic injuries, and Gorilla tape just because. Additionally, I filled one pouch with over the counter meds, and one with various creams, lotions, etc, and added some emergency dental supplies.
These additions may not apply if you are looking strictly at an emt bag, but mine was intended to deal additionally with all sorts of minor injuries and illnesses over the course of our travels and adventures.
And, I can’t stress enough, that my additions in no way reflect the quality or the value of the bag as purchased. My initial feeling was that the value of the oxygen cylinder, masks, and regulator, along with the bag, even if it was only of moderately good quality, was strong enough to make this purchase. Anything else that I liked was to be a bonus. So, I did have good expectations for this kit from the start, but I have to say that all.of my expectations were exceed here, and I am super happy with what I received. I will certainly be making further purchases here, and I can’t recommend these LightningX kits enough.
Thank you

I purchased this kit without realizing just how much I have to learn as I am not an EMT. It is an extensive kit built for knowledgeable professionals. Has a lot of things you won’t see in your standard or advanced first aid kit.
You will need to purchase road flares, light sticks, and durable flashlights/headlamps if you intend to utilize it in the field.
It is a huge bag with reflective material stitched into it. Damn impressive to look at. Gives me a better idea of what those brave souls have to deal with everyday. If anything, I can use this kit in case of emergencies to augment those with the actual experience to help others. No regrets.

My son is an AMT. That’s ADVANCED EMT for those who don’t know. He needed a bigger bag to carry all his medical supplies and his O2 tank. This fit the bill perfectly. He was like a kid in a candy store when he got it!
